As in India the majority of population is middle class so company this had planned to target this middle class. It seems that company is going to give a strong competition to some very popular phones like Samsung Galaxy On5 , Lenovo Vibe P1m and even the Lenovo K3 Note. While the majority of its features are same as in the Honor 5X, the company has made some editing in several areas of the handset in order to reach the Rs. 8,499 price point.
The Honor Holly 2 Plus is made up of polycarbonate body with a removable textured back panel. The battery however, stays embedded inside the handset which is reticules. Once the panel is removed, the dual Micro-SIM slots and microSD card slot can be seen. With its compact body, the smartphone is perfect for users with average hand size. The best part about this phone is that you can type very easily with one hand at good speed. The power and volume buttons are on the right. The speaker grille is at the bottom, and this might cause sound to be muffled when holding the smartphone horizontally to watch videos.
The display is not so impressive as we thought that company will improve. The Honor Holly 2 Plus features a 5-inch HD (720×1280-pixel) IPS display with a reasonable pixel density of around 293 ppi. This screen must be loved by HD screen lover as it contains sharp text display. The screen is vibrant sharp and color is glowing. Some news company says that in limited time the Honor Holly 2 Plus showed no signs of lag while switching between apps. The Holly 2 Plus contains a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P SoC with integrated Mali-T720 graphics and 2GB RAM. The details performance of this phone will be seen in our full review. You have to wait for our detail review. The EMUI 3.1 LITE skin on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop is straightforward and should be easy for users to get accustomed to.
The camera specifications can be slightly better than it is in the price range of Rs. 8,499 (131$). The Honor Holly 2 Plus has a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera. The company calls it an Omni Vision 3rd Generation BSI sensor, f2.0 aperture and LED flash, and it has 5-megapixel front camera. The camera app UI is simple and easy to use. It includes some regular features such as Watermark, Panorama, Audio Note and HDR, along with several photo filters. Options such as Touch to Capture, Timer, Capture Smiles, GPS tagging and more are also available. The front-facing camera gave equally grainy images.
The Honor Holly 2 Plus has 16GB of storage, out of which users will only get around 9.4GB for their apps and media. However, there is always the option to pop in a microSD card for up to 128GB more space. 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity are also standard. Note: If there is more than one download option, that likely means that you need to download and install the Bug Fix Update for your smartphone or tablet device before you can actually update to 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Step 1:Before you go trying to update your device, you should check which version of Android you are running. You might already be on the latest version. It's easy to check so follow this guide up to step four. This screen will have a section called 'Android version'. If it doesn't, click 'Software information' to find out.
Step 2:Scroll down the Settings menu and click on 'About Phone' or 'About Tablet'. If you have a tabbed settings menu then this will appear in the 'general' section.
Refer to Android developer page to choose which version of Android your phone or tablet is running. I.e, 4.0.4 corresponds to Ice Cream Sandwich, an old version of Android that was released in 2013.
Step 3:Note: Your phone or tablet may require a Wi-Fi connection to search for an update. We suggest you to download the software Droid Over Wi-Fi because the file size can be large.
Choose and click the "Software Update" option. Next it will search available update for your phone or tablet. If update is available, you will be asked if you want to install it. Select "yes" and it will install the new operating system in your device. If you want to install it later, you can download the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow file first.
